Here at Pompton Honda Suzuki, we know how to get the job done. No job is too big nor too small for our service department. We handle general repairs, complete overhauls, and even the most technical aftermarket performance applications.
We specialize in getting your bike back to you as soon as possible. Most general services completed in 24 hours. We also service trailers.
Where do I go to drop my bike off?
Looking at the front of the building, go to the right, then to the back where you will see a large bay door...thats it.
What do I need to bring for state inspection?
During business hours(10-5 M-F) bring your motorcycle, the actual insurance card and state registration.
What is included in my FIRST service?
Usually after about 600 miles or 10 hours, depending on the type of vehicle, the machine is ready for its first service. This is the most important service. Each model has its own checklist but a good service department, like ours, knows the additional areas that need attention.
On the outside, a trained eye can tell if everything is working and wearing-in properly. Some of the fasteners may also need attention. If there are multiple carburetors, synching may need to be done to insure smooth acceleration.
On the inside, the valves may need adjusting. One of the most popular types are shim-under-bucket valve adjusters. This means that our mechanic has to remove the camshafts in order to set the valve lash to the correct setting. (There are other common methods of valve adjustment including shim-over-bucket, screw-and-locknut, and maintenance-free hydraulic adjusters) All the fluid levels will be checked and the oil and filter will be changed.
